All I have to say is go to a high school game and see who the better players on the field were trained by and then tell me corinthians is not a joke. As a coach for the Pueblo Rangers I have naver lost a game to the corinthians with boy or girls. I have coached against them more than a dozen times in league and tournaments and could have beat them worse than we did every time and some of thoes time I'm talking double digits. Go back to Springs and be the third club there like you always have been.

  2. What you have just read is from the Rangers Blog from an obviously poorly educated man. It is true high schools are filled with Ranger players...but the ignorance of the author of the above blog is incapable of doing simple math. Pueblo Corinthians have been here 2yrs so mathematically it would be impossible to have any players, from our competitive teams U-12 & U-13 to be in high school.
Mike Roach states the he beats all Corinthians teams he plays and sometimes by double digits. When did these games take place because I have never played you or any team you are affiliated with unless you are merely a low level rec coach then we will never play against each other. I would welcome the challenge to face off with my competitive team...you would soon see you are suffering from delusions of granduer. While you are patting yourself on the back think about what your mission as a coach is and the moral & ethical standards you adhere to...it's apparent you lack in both areas by your negative comments directed at my club and players. I would never allow my daughter to play for a coach who is morally and ethically bankrupt because we (Pueblo Corinthians)have the philosophy that we are not just developing the kids skills technically & tactically for the pitch we are also developing social skills, social interaction, character, repsect, and socailly acceptable behavior including ethics and morals. We develop the kids into a productive member of society and instill in them to support the community that has given them the opportunity to play the game they love and that community is Pueblo, Colorado.

  3. The weak minded, poorly educated, reactive, and insecure create the negative blogs like yours because you are incapable of dealing with your own insecurities and low-self esteem so you feel the need to attack others and step so low to verbally demoralize children. My guess would be your are divorced (or unhappily married), drink daily, have little education beyond high school, and struggle with your blue collar job because you feel you are superior to all around you but have been doing the same job for many years without promotion because in all reality you are not superior to anyone and you are not entitled to pass judgement on anyone...that job is taken by the Lord Jesus. Your petty little words are meaningless to our club...our actions speak for us. In the 2011 Sunbelt we had 9 teams entered out of those 9 teams 6 were in the championship games and out of the remaing 3 one took 3rd. Collectively the Corinthians accumulated more points than the Rangers and went home with more hardware! Statistically based on ratio of teams, points recieved, number of teams in championship games, and hardware recieved the Corinthians, mathematically, were far more superior than the Rangers and had a much higher success rate based on ratio of teams entered. I don't believe any of our teams faced a Ranger team in the championship game. My competitive team is in there 2nd year of competitive play and we have played in the sunbelt in 2010 & 2011 and in both tournaments we were the #1 seed going into the championship game. Can Mike Roache say the same is true about his team(s) that 'blow away the Corinthians and sometimes by double digits' no! The Pueblo Corinthians are here to stay and we are growing every season...whoever developed the Rangers business plan apparently failed to take into account they may have competition in their market place or had such a strong sense of complacency feeling the Rangers had a strong hold on Pueblo and Pueblo Soccer that they didn't implement into their business plan a course of action for another business stepping in and taking a piece of the pie and our piece is getting bigger, or was the business plan to post negative comments about our club and being reactive in your approach to adversity. Good choice if the latter is true because we are thriving off of it...
Why such anomosity towards our club and players? Are the Rangers so intimidated by our presence their only source of management to relieve their anxieties and inadaquacies is to attempt to publicly belittle our club and the kids within our club?
I am the Director of Coaching Pueblo Corinthians, Kerry E. Maas, so if you feel compelled to post negative comments about my club post them directly to me...I am an adult and I can readily accept any negative comments you may have but leave our kids (players) and our club staff out of it...I will also be more than happy to openly discuss any issues you may have with me or any member of our club. The days of Rangers dominance and intimidation are over...I will not step back, I will address it head on without hesistation. Respect our club, players, and boundries as we do yours. We are not here to create controversy with the Rangers, we are here to offer the fine city of Pueblo another option for the kids of Pueblo...both clubs are here for the kids and that's where the focus should be. It's a waste of time and energy, both of which I have very little of because I am involved with players, being so overly consumed by the actions of the other club...personally I would prefer to spend my time constructively and with positive interaction with my players and club. As I stated if you all feel so compelled to post negative comments about the Pueblo Corinthians my name is Kerry E. Maas, Director of Coaching Pueblo Corinthians...feel free to use that name in your blogs but leave my club members, staff, parents, etc...out of it.

  4. WOW, looks like Mike really hit a nerve. Sorry about that but if anyone wants to post on our blog and is willing to put their name on it and keep it clean, we will allow them to post. Great comment however from you.

The Rangers as an organization have the same goals as the Corinthians and that is to provide Pueblo's children a solid soccer experience that is fun and informative and promotes the sport of soccer. Just one clarification,I do not know who keeps informing you that the Belmont Optimists Club helped to form the Rangers unless by help they mean that the Belmont Optimists were totally against allowing a PSSA team to go competitive and therefore the team broke off from the PSSA and started the Pueblo Rangers.

Finally, you folks do a great job, somewhat different than the Rangers but our goals are the same. Bottom line is, we are growing steadily each season and if you are growing as well then soccer is growing in Pueblo and that is good for the kids and good for soccer.

  5. Thank you for the acknowledgement...I am not about controversy or belittlement of others especially within our own city. Collectively we have superior athletes in Pueblo who will go on to be quite successful. The Ranger's coach mentioned (the quote came verbatim from the Ranger's blog)is, in my opinion, inappropriate and demoralizing to the kids we work with. A man of this character is not a person I would entrust to be a coach or role model within our club...a coach needs to respect others and NEVER belittle or disparage the youth of our community regardless of club affiliation. It shows lack of moral aptitude and ethics of a mere cretin...neither of which are acceptable to work with kids. I harbor no ill feelings towards the Ranger organization; I know several members (coaches, parents, supporters) of your club and feel I have a good rapport with them on and off the pitch. We are not a large community so collectively we need to rise above the animosity within to show the state we are a community that demands respect on the pitch...not viewed as a community of divisiveness; we need to change the image of Pueblo Soccer to a positive cohesive community and excel.
